Tee
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Tee is a golf GPS and scorecard app. This policy explains exactly what data the app collects, how it is collected, what it is used for, who else receives it, how long it is kept, and how you can withdraw consent or delete everything.
Tee is operated by an independent developer. Throughout this policy, "we" and "us" refer to the developer of Tee, reachable at ffuensalida@icloud.com.
| Data | How it is collected | Why | Linked to you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email address | You type it when creating an account. | Authentication — it is how you sign back in and how your rounds stay attached to you. | Yes |
| Display name | You type it once during onboarding. | Identifies you on the scoreboard of a group round so the other players know which score is yours. | Yes |
| Account identifier | Generated automatically when you sign up. | Links your rounds, scores, saved courses and clubs to your account. | Yes |
| Precise location | From your device's GPS, only while the app is open and only after you grant permission. | Measuring the live distance from where you stand to the green, sorting your course list by how close each course is, and fetching the current wind and temperature for the Smart Caddy. | See §2 |
| Green coordinates you save | You either drag a map pin onto a green, or tap "use my GPS" while standing on one. | Stored against the golf hole so the distance readout works next time — for you and for other golfers playing the same course. | No — stored against the hole, not against you |
| Courses you save | You add them from the catalog or map them yourself. | Building your personal course library. | Yes |
| Scores and rounds | You enter them while playing. | Your scorecard, your history, and your statistics. | Yes |
| Your club distances | You enter them in the Bag screen. | Recommending which club to hit for the distance in front of you. | Yes |
| Course search terms | You type them in the course search screen. | Looking the course up in the golf course catalog. | No |
Location is the most sensitive thing Tee touches, so here is exactly what happens to it:
Tee uses a small number of third-party services. We only share what each one needs to do its job, and each is contractually bound by its own terms to provide protection of your data at least equal to what this policy commits to. We do not permit any of them to use your data for their own advertising or profiling.
| Service | What it receives | What it does | Their policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Your email, display name, account ID, saved courses, rounds, scores and clubs. | Hosts the database and handles sign-in. This is where your account lives. | supabase.com/privacy |
| OpenWeatherMap | Your latitude and longitude at the moment of the request. No account information. | Returns the current temperature and wind at your position. | openweather.co.uk/privacy-policy |
| GolfCourseAPI | The course name you typed into the search box. No account information, no location. | Returns matching golf courses and their scorecards. | golfcourseapi.com |
| Apple | Your coordinates, for reverse geocoding and map rendering. | Turns coordinates into a place name; draws the satellite map. | apple.com/legal/privacy |
Tee is mostly a private app, but two things are deliberately shared:
Nothing else you enter is visible to another user. Your scores from solo rounds, your statistics, your club distances and your course library are yours alone.
Both are available inside the app, with no need to email anyone:
Settings → Delete all my data and Settings → Delete account.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Full instructions are on the
account deletion page.
You can see and edit your data inside the app. If you want a copy of everything we hold about you, or a correction we do not expose in the interface, email ffuensalida@icloud.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, this covers your rights under the GDPR; if you are in California, it covers your rights under the CCPA.
Tee is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
All traffic between the app and our services is encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS. Access to your records is enforced at the database level by row-level security policies, so one account cannot read another account's rounds, scores, clubs or course library. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how your data is used, ask for your consent again in the app before it takes effect.
